most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

Next time use firefox. Uninstall IE 7. Scan for viruses!
Use Opera, i tried FireFox, didn't love it as much as Opera...
Download a antivirus program if you don't have it.

AVG and Avast has some free ones.

There are more free antivirus programs out there.

What鈥檚 the best of them I don鈥檛 know.

I use Norton Internet Security.

Scan with a antivirus online scanner like http://www.bitdefender.com/

and a security/antivirus scanner like http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home....

You need a firewall.

ZoneAlarm has a free one.

http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/c...

Disable Windows firewall if it鈥檚 not disabled automatically.

That is if you download another firewall.

Have some spyware/adware removers like Ad Aware SE Personal and Spybot-S%26amp;D.

( Download Ad Aware here http://www.download.com/3000-2144-100459... )

AVG also have a free anti spyware.

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Scan with all online scanners and your antivirus program. Scan with both Ad Aware and Spybot.

*Note: Have only one antivirus program and one firewall installed on you computer.

Adware/spyware removers are ok to have more of.

Edit: Please post the error message.

It's easyer to help.
Problems with the Search Bar?

Well, depending on your Search engine, you need to change your search engine in your IE7. I am currently using IE7 but there's no problems with the search bar. Try to change the search engine by selecting the arrow beside magnifier tool %26amp; beside the search box and choose one of the given search engines.

If your favorite search engine isn't in the list, click Find more Providers. A list of search engines will show up. Click on a website name or the search engine and it will now be in your search engine settings. After you select the search provider, choose the one who is default, type a word in the search box and click the magnifier tool.

But if it is in the list and you want to make it default, choose Change Search Defaults. You will see the search engines supported. Choose Select Default to your fave search engine.
