IE Vs Firefox?

Do you really think even latest version of internet explorer(Internet Explorer 7 Release Candidate 1) is inferior to Mozilla Fifefox

By nature, Internet Explorer with active x etc cannot be as secure as Firefox...

United States Computer Emergency Team:

"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...ActiveX (etc)...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

It will be interesting to see what the folks at Microsoft can cook up to improve what they already have.

On top of this, IE7 will still not support web standards, and this drives up the cost of web developing, leaving us consumers ultimately paying the bill.

Compare the results of the web standards test:

The test results are suppose to look like this:

Firefox 2 results:

IE7 results:

Opera results (perfect):

You can try the test here to see that I'm not bu11 sh1ting you:

My bet, when the final versions come out, Firefox will still be more secure simply because it uses different technologies.

i haven't even tried ie 7 and probably won't. i enjoy using firefox and am used to it's non threatening security issues.
I don't really know. I never use IE and rarely use FF.
there is nothing known as inferior bcoz firefox supports some extra features than IE. However let me tell you that IE is more popular than any other browser. 85% of the population of the entire world uses IE and 15% the rest.
I miss FireFox. Im going back to it. I forgot about it. I tried IE 7 and it sux. I had to take it out and get the IE 6 back. I couldnt log on to some sites with IE 7! So I guess betas arent a sure fire thing yet.
Firefox is just so easy to use and way safer than IE. Tried the new IE but it seems worse than the last one
People used to tell me that firefox is better and IE has more hacker openings or whatever. But I run into a lot of problems web surfing and downloading from certain sites with firefox. I find out that as long as I keep my computer protected with a firewall, anti virus, and all the other necessities, I dont run into any problems with IE. And it always seems to do me good as long as I do my part.
I have not tried IE 7 yet, but I much prefer firefox. It has lots of interesting add ons, it is faster than IE 6. It also supports tab browsing.
